April Newsletter & Sale!
Hello Quilting Friends!!
April is such a beautiful month of growth and expectation. Gorgeous tulips, daffodils and hyacinths spring forth from our gardens. The trees burst open with crab apples and pear tree blooms. How fitting that Easter falls at this time of year, too. A time of redemption, a time of renewal, our time of joy because The Savior has Risen! May the Lord lift your heart this Easter Season.

Featured Product(s)
We are highlighting our 118” wide fabrics this month. Oasis is our primary manufacturer. These fabrics are exquisite with a thread count of 72 threads psi. The higher thread count gives them a soft-to-the-touch hand. Oasis has introduced new collections from which to choose: Shadows, Etchings II, Crackles, Swirls and Classic Jacquard.
NEW-- End-of-Bolt (EOB) sales!! This is a huge hit. They fly off the shelf faster than we can list them. An EOB cut is not as small as a remnant, but really needs to be cleared from the shelf to make room for the new fabrics. The yardage cuts will range from 1/2 -yard to
1 7/8 yard cuts. The best part—these 108” wide cuts will be offered at 30% OFF!! so this is a fantastic deal!! And, these fabrics can be used for any home décor or sewing project you can imagine. Check in frequently because new postings show up weekly.
Culinary Corner
We have an Easter Brunch every year and I try to look for new recipes that are quick to whip up, tasty and colorful. A recent favorite of mine is Roasted Strawberries and Brie by Shannon Coe of My Suburban Kitchen.
You will love this one! It’s so easy to make and the flavor blend of strawberries and brie is A-mazing!

TODAY’S TIPS, TRICKS & TECHNIQUES-Strip Quilting
Are you feeling a little overloaded with your fabric stash and not quite sure what to do with all of it?? You might want to try Strip Quilting.
You can cut up your strips in equal or unequal widths, or wonky widths. It doesn’t matter. And, you don’t need to have an eye for color if you make a scrappy look. Also, you can “quilt as you go” by sewing the strips directly on to the batting, them flip the strip, press, and sew the next one on. This technique is great for using up those scraps without a lot of planning needed. And, you can make quilts, wall hangings, table runners, totebags and for any other project that uses quilted fabric.
Happy Quilting
