Hello Quilting Friends!!

Mother’s Day invites us to pause and honor the women who stitched love into the fabric of our lives. Many of us first learned the comfort of handmade beauty from a mother, grandmother, aunt, or cherished mentor whose hands guided thread through cloth and care through generations.

Quilting has always been more than fabric and patterns — it is memory, tradition, patience, and love sewn together one piece at a time. Every quilt tells a story, much like the women who inspired us to create, nurture, and persevere.

This month, as we gather around our sewing tables, may we celebrate the mothers who taught us creativity, encouraged our passions, and wrapped us in warmth both literal and heartfelt. Whether they are beside us today or lovingly remembered in every stitch we sew, their influence remains woven into our lives.

From all of us here, we wish you a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, treasured memories, and plenty of time to create something meaningful.

Long-Arm Quilting Services

Please allow week 4-6 weeks for completion.

Tips, Tricks & Techniques – How to Choose Longarm Quilting Services

  • Expertise & Experience
Look for a longarm quilter whose experience matches your project style. Review their portfolio to see if they specialize in modern, traditional, custom, or edge-to-edge quilting designs. An experienced quilter can also help recommend patterns, threads and finishes that enhance your quilt.
  • References & Reviews
Ask for recommendations from fellow quilters or check online reviews and social media pages. Positive feedback about quality, communication, and turnaround time can give you confidence before sending your quilt top.
  • Cost Estimate
Request a clear estimate before committing. Many longarm services charge by the square inch, while custom quilting may include additional design or thread fees. Be sure to ask what is included in the price, such as batting, thread choices, trimming, or binding services.
  • Design Options
Discuss available quilting patterns and customization choices. Some quilters offer simple edge-to-edge designs, while others provide detailed custom quilting. Consider how the quilting design will complement your fabrics and overall quilt style. Is the quilter willing to help you find a design that she/he doesn’t have in stock?
  • Personal Consulting
A good longarm quilter will take time to discuss your vision, answer questions, and guide you through design choices. Personalized consultation can help ensure the finished quilt reflects your creative goals and expectations.

Finally, don’t be afraid to start small. Sending a table runner or baby quilt first can help you build confidence before committing a larger quilt project. The right quilting partner will help bring your creative vision to life—one stitch at a time.

Happy Quilting!
